The Ethnographic Museum of Ulan Ude is an open air museum located in the village of Berezovka. Inside the museum there are several residential complexes and 37 acres for you to explore. The museum covers various aspects of Buryat history, and shows life as it was lived by the Evenks, Cossacks, and the Old believers hundreds of years ago.

The seven areas of the museum will instil the feeling as though you are traveling through time, seeing for yourself the life of Russia’s indigenous inhabitants. Inside you will see traditional Buryat yurts, wooden houses and an entire section, where there are artefacts and ancient furniture belonging to the Old-Believers. Not only will you be explore and uncovering the enigmatic lives of Russia’s indigenous, but you will also be able to immerse yourself in the traditions of the Buryats and experience their way of life.

Inside the museum you will find tiled burial mounds, and numerous monasteries and chapels showing the ancient religious and spiritual traditions of the natives. Before your tour concludes, your tour guide will lead you to visit the museum zoo to see an astonishing collection of Siberian wildlife, including the Siberian tiger. After your tour concludes, your tour guide will accompany you back to your hotel.
