"Admiring the views of the sacred sea"

Discover the breathtaking and scenic havens of the sacred sea

On this incredible expedition, your tour guide leads you to the serene village of Sukhaya, to the regal shores of the sacred sea 125 km from Ulan-Ude. Treasured by its locals as a tranquil haven, your excursion begins with a visit to one of Lake Baikal’s myriad mineral springs, situated near one of the lake’s breath-taking bays.

You and your tour guide will spend the rest of your already remarkable evening enjoying the comforting sounds of the lake’s tides, while basking in the sensational vistas of the ‘Motherland’. For just a moment you become a local, and you discover and savour the flavours of traditional Siberian cuisine including ‘hot smoked omul’, a rare fish that only resides in Lake Baikal’s fresh waters, smoked on a spit fire. After your tour concludes, you will commence your journey back to the city, and on your way back you can admire the views of Baikal’s dreamland as it passes by you, taking with you a memory that will last you a lifetime.
