The pearl of lake Baikal (2-day winter tour)
"Riding the snowmobile through the Siberian forest"
Experience the winter wonderland on the shores of lake Baikal
Get ready to cover 180 km of Siberian landscape on a snowmobile ride through the winter Taiga forest and on the penetrating ice along the western shore of lake Baikal. You will visit the Kadilny Cape, your first stop on the route, situated on the west coast of the lake.
After a ride to the Bolshoe Goloustnoye village on the lake Baikal shore, you will have a short break and lunch before you continue the ride to the jewel of lake Baikal, Peschanaya Bay, a beautiful nook of the lake. You will spend the rest of the day at the tourist camp, where you will be settled in cosy wooden houses. Here, after hot dinner, you will have a chance to experience Russian banya (sauna) to relax and unwind after a busy day.
The next morning, after breakfast, your local sightseeing tour will start, when you will visit snowy pyramid-shaped rocks – Small Belltower and Big Belltower, Baklaniy Island, a unique site of nature in former times known as the biggest nestling colony of the large cormorant on Baikal, and Babusha (‘Granny’) Bay. On the way back to Listvyanka, you will stop at Bolshoe Goloustnoye village for a lunch and a rest after this action-packed adventure of a lifetime.
