This four day trip is packed full of sights and excitement to give you a taste of the different feature of Chengdu.
The first day, you will be met by your guide at the Chengdu airport and taken to your hotel to rest before your big adventure.
Your next day takes you to the Panda Base at the Breeding and Research Centre to get up close and personal with the amazing, rare giant panda. You’ll see them resting, eating and drinking, playing together, using toys or nursing their young as you get to observe even more closely this famously beautiful creature.
Your day doesn’t finish there as you go on to the Broad and Narrow Alley which is a mix of touristy shops and traditional culture with many quaint courtyards and alleys, as a fun yet relaxing area to visit. You’ll also get a tea break in Renmin Park to relax, enjoy some traditional Chinese refreshments and take in the gorgeous scenery.
Your third day takes you to the Dujiangyan Irrigation System which dates back to the 3rd Century BC and amazingly, still functions. It’s an incredible structure, adorned with stunning temples giving you just a glimpse into the history of the area of Qingcheng Mountain as you can also admire the scenery around you.
Your last day takes you to the LeShan Giant Buddha before an evening flight home. The Buddha is an astonishing sight to see before you leave and the memory will stay with you as it is the largest Buddha in the world, carved out of a hill and dating back to the 8th Century. At 71m tall with rivers running around its feet, it’s a truly spectacular feature of the area and can’t be missed.
