This trip takes you through some of the glorious religion and history of China as you visit the Lama Temple and Capital Museum.
The Lama Temple, also known as The Yonghe Temple, is a beautiful temple and monastery with the artworks of Han Chinese and Tibetan styles. A series of beautiful pavilions comprise this Mongolian-Tibetan temple which features an impressive 54ft high Buddha, carved from one piece of Tibetan sandalwood.
Built during the Qing Dynasty, it offers a monastery for monks and half of the building also remained as an imperial palace making it a truly spectacular sight.
After seeing the Temple, you’ll visit the Capital Museum which is full of incredible exhibitions and displays to take your breath away as well as being an incredible building in itself.
With five floors of unique Chinese art and masterpieces, you won’t want to miss this visit as you see over 200,000 relics of ancient porcelain, bronze, calligraphy, painting, jade and sculptures.
