Day 1 - Arrival in Beijing

Day 4 - Depart Beijing

Ger CampPack, and prepare to check-out, then make the most of what Beijing has to offer on your final day in the city before you are provided with a transfer to the railway station, where our guide will advise, and assist, in purchasing provisions for the train if desired, accompany you to the platform, ensure that everyone is settled into their cabins and answer any last minute questions.

Day 5 - Arrive Ulan-Bator

Trans-Siberian trainAfter your arrival you will be taken to your accommodation to freshen up and have breakfast, before being set free to explore, and experience, Ulan-Bator as you wish.

Day 6 - Free Day in Ulan-Bator

Day 9 - Free Day and Departing Ulan-Bator

Irkutsk ChurchAfter spending most of the day free to explore Ulan-Bator, you will catch the train to continue your journey along the Trans-Mongolian railway.

Day 10 - Entering Russia and Passing the Vast Lake Baikal

Irkutsk DecemberistsYou will spend the day on the train continuing on to the border with Russia, before passing the city of Ulan-Ude, and heading onwards onwards to Irkutsk, passing by the amazing Lake Baikal.

Day 11 - Arrival in Irkutsk

Irkutsk Rail StationFollowing your arrival in Irkutsk, you will be taken to your accommodation. You have will then have a full day to explore, and experience, the city.

Day 12 - Free Day in Irkutsk

Ulan Bator National ParkToday is left free to relax, explore, experience, shop or book one of our many optional excursions.

Day 13 - Free Day in Irkutsk

Ger CampToday is left free to relax, explore, experience, shop or book one of our many optional excursions.

Day 14 - Depart Irkutsk

North China StatueThere will be a transfer from the hotel to the railway station to catch your train for the next leg of your Trans–Siberian journey, on through Siberia and on to Moscow.

Day 15 - Heading into Eurasia

Ulan Bator BuildingAfter passing through Novosibirsk, the largest city in Siberia, the train will head for the historic Yekaterinburg and the Ural Mountains, crossing the border between Asia and Europe, around 1,000 miles east of Moscow.

Day 16 - Arrival in Yekaterinburg

Gobi DesertYou will arrive in Yekaterinburg and be provided with a transfer to take you to your accommodation.

Day 17 - Free Day in Yekaterinburg

YekaterinburgYou will have the opportunity to investigate, explore, and experience the historic city of Yekaterinburg in your own time.

Day 18 - Free Day and Departure from Yekaterinburg

Gobi DesertYou will have a free morning to continue exploring the city, however you will need to prepare to check out and be ready for a transfer to the railway station early in the afternoon.

Day 19 - Arrival in Moscow

MoscowAt the end of this day you will reach your destination, the Russian Capital of Moscow, where your transfer will be waiting to pick you up.

Your tour starts in the ancient city of Beijing, China's new capital. On route to Moscow enjoy the ever changing scenery as you travel past the Great Wall, northwards through the breathtaking Gobi Desert to arrive at the Mongolian Capital of Ulan-Bator. After four days "on the ground" you head off to Irkutsk deep in Siberia, home of the world famous Lake Baikal for a three day stopover before you head west through the vast steppes and forests of Eurasia, to the historic city of Yekaterinburg on the border of Europe and Asian in the Ural Mountains, after a two day visit, its an overnight train ride into European Russia before finally arriving in Moscow. With With our trusted 2* or home-stay accommodation, full in-tour transfers and complete guided excursions, you can relax and submerge yourself into the total experience.
