Route from moscow to Beijing

Day 1 - Arrival in Beijing

Forbidden CityYour tour starts in Beijing, where your transfer will be waiting for you at the airport, or train station, to take you to your accommodation.

Day 2 - Free Day in Beijing

Day 4 - Depart Beijing

Gobi DesertPack, and prepare to check-out, then make the most of what Beijing has to offer on your final day in the city before you are provided with a transfer to the railway station, where our guide will advise, and assist, in purchasing provisions for the train if desired, accompany you to the platform, ensure that everyone is settled into their cabins and answer any last minute questions.

Day 5 - Through the Gobi Desert

Ural MountainsTake in the incredible landscapes of the Gobi Desert as you spend the day on the train. See if you can spot the rare bactrian camel or Gobi bear!

Day 6 - Entering Russia and Passing the Vast Lake Baikal

Trans-Siberian Train TracksYou will spend the day on the train continuing on to the border with Russia. Once across the border, the train heads onwards to the amazing Lake Baikal, travelling alongside the largest freshwater lake in the world for several hours.

Day 7 - Venturing into Siberia

Lake BaikalThrough the seemingly limitless tracks and incredible forests of Siberia (the largest forest in the world), you will be passing through the mighty Altai region, crossing the River Yenisei at Krasnoyarsk.

Day 8 - Heading into Eurasia

Trans-SiberianAfter passing through Novosibirsk, the largest city in Siberia, the train will head for the historic Yekaterinburg and the Ural Mountains, crossing the border between Asia and Europe, around 1,000 miles east of Moscow.

Day 9 - Arrive in Moscow

St BasilsAt the end of this day you will reach your destination, the Russian Capital of Moscow, where your transfer will be waiting to pick you up.

Overview

Your tour starts in the ancient city of Beijing, China's new capital. On route to Moscow via the Mongolian capital of Ulan-Bator, enjoy the ever changing scenery as you travel past the Great Wall, northwards through the breathtaking Gobi Desert to the Mongolian capital of Ulan-Bator, then on past the amazing views of Lake Baikal deep in Siberia you head west through the vast steppes and forests of Eurasia, passing the Ural Mountains into European Russia before finally arriving in Moscow.
