Belarus Visa-free regime

Effective from 12th February 2017 until further notice, nationals of 80 states may visit Belarus for up to 5 days without a visa. Visitors wishing to use the visa free regime should enter and exit Belarus through Minsk International (MSQ) airport and support their visit with the documents listed below.

*Including persons with non-citizen status of Latvia and persons without citizenship, permanently residing in Estonia.

Additional “Visa Free” Countries

Nationals of China, Gambia, Haiti, Honduras, India, Lebanon, Namibia, Samoa, Vietnam are also eligible for visa-free entry to Belarus.

In addition to the documents listed below nationals of these additional countries should also have:

  1. A valid multiple entry visa issued by an EU member state or Schengen country. The visa should have been previously used to enter the issuing state.
  2. Tickets confirming exit from Minsk International airport within five days from the date of entry.

Documents required

To enter Belarus “visa-free”, all visitors need to have:

  1. An original valid passport or travel document.
  2. Money equivalent of 42 Belarusian rubles (approximately 22 USD) for each day of stay.
  3. Current medical insurance valid in Belarus. Click here for information on insurance requirements.
  4. While not currently a requirement, it is advisable to have outbound tickets pre-booked showing exit from Belarus within 5 days of entry.


Visa-free travel does not apply to visitors entering Belarus on flights from Russia nor visitors intending to exit Belarus and fly to Russia.
