Chinese Tourist Visas - applications in Moscow

Chinese Tourist Visas in Moscow

The tourist visa allows for either a single visit of up to 30 days within a 90 day “window” or two visits of up to 30 days each in an 180-day “window”; the window starts from the date the application is made to the Consulate.

This section allows for you to request your visa to be processed and obtained from our Moscow office. This is useful if you have no time to obtain your visa before you leave your home country, or if you need to maximise the validity "window" of the Chinese visa due to your travel arrangements.

Effective from 24th April 2008, the Chinese Consulate in Moscow are only accepting applications from Russian nationals, or from non-Russian nationals who have a Russian work or student visa and are therefore temporarily residing in Russia (i.e. it is not possible for tourists to obtain their Chinese visas in Russia).

What is the processing time?

The processing time is the number of business days that it will take us to obtain your visa once we have received your documents and lodged your application with the Chinese consulate. We will lodge your application the next consular working day after we receive it.

For obtaining visas from the Chinese consulate in Moscow we will need to prepare visa support documents which can take up to five business days, though this can be done in advance of you arriving in Moscow if you order and pay online.

The day we receive your visa from the Consulate we will arrange to send it to you by courier or optionally hold it at our office for your collection.

Business days exclude weekends, Russian and Chinese public holidays.
