An excellent bookshop that has a huge range of both
fiction and non-fiction Russian books as well as other
languages is: http://www.grantandcutler.com/
in London.
Just round the corner from Carnaby Street, yesterday
we went there and then ambled down to Eros, Trafalgar
Square, Whitehall, Downing Street, Parliament Square
and Big Ben.
A good day out, take in the sites and pick up a few
good books.
Well worth a visit.

I dont read or speak Russian, so havent used any. They do have books by a female author though that my girlfriend has some other books by, but I dont know how to write the authors name in English. They look like some sort of spy thrillers.

If you send them a list of your favourite
authors, they will get them or you.
Takes about 5 weeks to come through from their
Russian suppliers

the books are in Russia mainly fiction, most are Russian writen thrillers , but a couple are russian translations of English books ie 2 of the Harry Potter books. my Wife has read all the Russian books and said they were all very good. but she refuses to read Harry Potter as she didn't like the films

The shops pretty good, we visited it on Friday and it has good selection of DVDs and books. It was also very easy to locate!

Alla and I visited this shop last August when it was just a shop, and came away with half of it (it seems). A few weeks ago, we ordered a classic Russian reference book on Amazon (cheapest), then found out who 'booksinrussian' are. We still await the book which is presumably struggling to leave Russia.

As above, Alla is reading her way through the Newcastle City Russian collection.
