Hi all,

I have been to the VAC in Moscow this morning and they refused to accept my application because I didn't have the Sponsorship undertaking form signed by my husband. The Ukba website says that only dependant relatives need that. I asked them to show me the official requirement and they said that it's not on the paper yet but the consulate require it.

Now I have this form in front of me and think what shall we put there. It requires the adress i will be residing at and sponsor's adress he lives at. Problem is that he lives at one adress now, but in the application we said we were going to live at my in-laws and provided supporting docs of this facs.

Do you know what adress should we put into this application form now? His current one or his parents' where we will be residung but he doesnt live there yet?

Thank you,
Ksenia

little update for those who might be interested.

I've sent an email to moscow visa inquiries and got a reply from entry clearance manager straightaway. She said that sponsorship undertaking form is not mandatory for spouses settlement although may be appropriate if an applicant plans to reside ar third party's place(e.g. my husband's family house). So seems like Moscow VAC staff is not well informed enough and tell porkie pies.
I am still going to submit those forms signed by my husband and his parents to be on the safe side.

The VAC staff are the lowest wage staff that VFS could find, what do you expect, profit before performance and all that ...

In the UK VAC first year of operation in Ukraine, for example, I came across a few cases when the UK VAC would ask for copies, rejecting originals (!) and then refusing the application on the basis that no originals (!) were provided.

They had a very reasonable Head of the Visa section at that time, so the issues were resolved on the day without the need to lodge appeals.
