| I got laid off from work at an extremely unlucky time, right before I apply for my second Tourist Visa. I'm concerned that being unemployed will have a negative effect on my application, as it makes my funding questionable. Am I thinking too deep into this? I was thinking of just keeping my recent employer on there for peace of mind. Do the Consulate have records they can use to verify my employment status? Is it a wise idea, or should I just be honest?
Cheers!

| Let me put this way, every year thousands of people apply for tourist visas using visa support documents listing hotel bookings paid for throughout their stay in Russia. In reality people haven't booked accommodation at these hotels and in fact quite often stay in private accommodation, are there any repercussions? I think not, lets face it RR would be out of business if there was. | |

| Thanks Rasboinik.
Yep, to be honest I don't believe I'm even brave enough to try and lie, just wanted some other opinions.
Do you know from experience, or other peoples experience if this will actually impact my application?

Location: Kent | I have applied for 3 visa's being unemployed recently, and have stated this on my application. It did'nt make any difference, although on my last application they wanted my last three months bank statements. All were granted. As Rasboinik mentioned, be honest.
