| Philj - 2013-05-09 12:55 PM Thank you all! Just need to get them over here now in time for our renowned British summer Summer? What's that word, I've never heard of it before. :P I am so tempted to visit, but we're two weeks away from applying. Your success gives me hope (similar situation - wife, stepdaughter and having to "prove" sole responsibility). I noticed return flights are much cheaper than singles (about 20,000 for both vs 77,000 for both). :-O |

Location: Essex | Where are your flights to and from? You know that Easyjet fly to moscow from Gatewick and Manchester at very low prices |

| Ah right, the flights I checked were with BA and Aeroflot/KLM/AirFrance (Moscow-Newcastle via London/Paris/Amsterdam). So the old, "traditional" airlines stuck in their ways about one-way flights.

Location: When at home either Sakhalin Island or Scotland | Sleazyjet prices seem to be cheap when you start out but by the time you finish paying for all the extras they are just a expensive as a standard normal airline. With regards to return tickets, they are normally cheaper than the one way ticket but there is nothing that says that you have to use the return leg of he ticket so basically if you want to fly one way then buy a return ticket and just discard the return leg.

Quiet agree.. Very recently, my step-daughter who lives in the UK, looked to use them, but after costing it all up, flight, extras, onward flight etc etc, Aeroflot came out much cheaper at about 15,000rubies all in... HTH |

| That is very cheap. I was a bit wrong earlier, even the return (KLM) will be £621 (but still more than half the price of a single). I thought about going via Gatwick, but it becomes too complicated/not possible. Newcastle Airport is not as well-serviced as it used to be, sadly. So, we'll keep things simple and book via KLM. |

Location: Essex | Flight leaves at 14:30 Moscow time (11:30 GMT time)
Lands at Gatwick at 15:40, GMT time (18:40 Moscow time)
Looks like about 4 hours to me and its a direct flight, but we did make jokes that they will have to open the windows and flap their arms to make it fly |
