Moving excursion uncovering the Jewish synagogues of Moscow
Moscow is home to the largest Jewish community in Russia, estimated at about 250,000 people.
The tour begins with a meeting with your guide, who starts the tour by telling you all about the Jewish community in Russia before guiding you along through Moscow synagogues, schools, cultural centres and Jewish museums to explore the incredible culture and life of the Russian Jews.
As your tour continues, you will visit the most famous cemetery in Moscow, Novodevichy cemetery, situated next to the wall of the 16th Century Novodevichy Convent, that includes the graves of many famous Jewish people.
Moving on, you will be able to see one of two the most architecturally beautiful synagogues in Moscow - the Old Choral Synagogue, the oldest one in Moscow, or Marina Roscha Synagogue.
This unique tour gives you just a little of the experience of the Jewish religion within Russia and the exquisite architecture and culture that goes with it.
