Your incredible journey starts with your tour guide whisking you back in time for an inside view of ancient China. Proceed to Tiananmen towers, the gate of heavenly peace and walk through Beijing’s historical centre; discover the monuments devoted to the people’s heroes, the National Museum of China, and see honour reflected in the daily national flag rising ceremony.
Continue to the Forbidden City, the imperial residence of the Ming and Qing Dynasty; feel as though you are an emperor as you walk through the meridian gates once reserved only for the use of the emperors. Ahead of the queues you will get a spectacular glimpse into the history of the Forbidden City, and for a moment you get to experience life how it was lived by the emperors who once ruled over China for nearly 500 years.
The final stop on route takes you to the royal residence of the Qing Dynasty, the Yiheyuan ancient imperial fortress, the Summer Palace. Feel as though you are a member of the royal dynasty as you explore the gardens while revelling at the vast landscapes, hills and magnificent lakes. There are over 3000 ancient sculptures, so you will spend most of your time enthralled by the fortress tower bridges and glorious palaces. Before concluding the tour you will spend the remainder of your time enjoying a delightful lunch made up of an authentic Chinese cuisine. Your tour guide will take you back to your accommodation or to an agreed destination where your tour ends.
