Airport update for Sochi Winter Olympics 2014

Amongst the liquids banned are gels, aerosols, cosmetics, baby food and medicines. However the Vnukovo airport have advised they will accept medicines aboard as hand luggage as long as an official statement is provided by the passenger. Other measures have also been implemented restricting ground transport in and around Sochi.

Increased security procedures of these airports have been taken ahead of the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics to enhance safety, and are expected to last up until 21st March.

Other airports including Domodedovo, St. Petersburg's Pulkovo and Sochi's have said travellers can continue to carry the standard 100 ml liquid in hand luggage in line with current guidelines.

At Real Russia, we recommend to check the latest guidelines from your airport prior to flying.
