Russian Railways (RZD) have suspended the sale of tickets for long distance trains with departure dates on and after 26 October 2012.
This is caused by the Russian government reviewing a possible change back to “winter time” on the 28 October 2012 and the increase of times zones in the country from 9 to 11 – for further details please see This article on the BBC
The proposed change would significantly affect timetables, schedules and the use of any tickets issued for travel after 26 October 2012 and RZD have had no option but to suspend the ticket sales until the situation is resolved.
There has not, as of yet, been any information on the timescale for this possible change, or even if it is going to happen, and as soon as we receive any further details we will post this on our website.
