Let the adventures begin in Yaroslavl

Today Russia celebrates International Women’s day. It’s a public holiday in Russia, and, quite possibly, the nation’s favourite holiday (after New Year’s Eve).

On February 24th, Russia celebrates Defender of the Fatherland Day, which is not just a military celebration, but a men's day, an opportunity to congratulate all the men of the Russia.

This week is Maslenitsa (Shrovetide) in Russia, throughout which people say ‘goodbye’ to winter, and salute the beginning of spring with a week of celebrations!

Ahead of Russia’s Victory Day (9th May), which marks the surrender of Nazi Germany to the Soviet Union in 1945, let’s take a step back in time and look at the unique site of Russia’s military past.
