Ahead of the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, security officials have announced a ban on all liquids in hand luggage for passengers travelling via Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo airports.

It is less than one month to go until the XXII Winter Olympics 2014 and the Sochi organizing committee are putting all their efforts into preparing the Olympic venues in time for the opening ceremony on the 7th February 2014. With the start rapidly approaching, this is an ideal time for Real Russia to share our knowledge of the events, and to provide advice and assistance with all your travel and visa needs.

The Russian Government is hopefully about to approve plans for a simplified visa procedure and possible fee-waiver, ahead of the World Athletic Championships, held in Moscow this August.

Last week marked a year to go until the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics take place. Russia is promising an unforgettable Olympics – starting off with a perfect destination. Situated on the Black Sea, Sochi isn’t only the pearl of the Russian Riviera; but is also at the foot of the Caucasus Mountains, meaning only a short drive to get to the slopes.
