“Chuandixia Ancient Village, Beijing”
This trip to Chuandixia is an amazing chance to see the incredible history of a village which dates back to the Ming Dynasty. Decorated with over 500 unique courtyard homes owned by 70 families, this small village echoes features of ‘Shangri-La’ with its cute, ancient dynasty-style homes.
The construction of these antique dwellings integrates tile carving, stone carving and wood carving, with elaborately carved gate piers, rational layout, unique features and various shapes.
There’s even Temples, left as historic relics between these quaint houses. Many of the homes have been converted into inns, offering food and places to sleep to passers-by and you’ll be immersed in beauty with the sweet paved lanes and steep staircases that are surrounded by high, exquisite mountains and gorgeous scenery.
