Uncover the beautiful historical town of Alapayevsk

This tour is full of local history, teaching you all about the colonization of the Urals, seeing towns and villages located on the Rezhevskoy and Alapeyevsky Grand Roads, wooden architecture and the lifestyle of the local workers, giving you an all-round experience of Russian life in this area.

In Alapeyesk you’ll get to visit the memorial museum of the famous composer P.I. Tcahikovsky, where they exhibit a unique collection of musical instruments. This is not the only museum of rarity as you’ll also see the Museum of Wooden Architecture and Urals Folk Painting in an amazing architectural monument of the 19th Century – The Transfiguration Church, which lies in Nizhnyaya Sinyachikha.

The wooden buildings consist of houses from the 17th-19th Centuries, a prison, a watchtower, a fire station and wooden chapels which sit on the riverbank, all adding to the historical charm of the town.

You’ll even get to see the monastery where Great Princess Elisabeth – sister of Empress Alexandra – and her relatives were imprisoned and murdered. This mysterious contribution to the tour makes it one full of different emotions and historical moments so you won’t be bored for a second with so much to take in around you.
