‘Golden Ring of Russia’ Weekend Tour with Vladimir and Suzdal

Overview
A small piece of Russia’s historic Golden Ring. Vladimir and Suzdal offer a glimpse into the region’s true origin story through spectacular architectural masterpieces dating back to the 12th century. If you only want the highlights of The Golden Ring or are after more time in Vladimir and Suzdal then this is the excursion for you. This 3-day excursion will include visits to the Assumption Cathedral and Golden Gates in Vladimir as well as a tour of the Suzdal Kremlin.

Moscow
Russia’s official capital, Moscow, is the political and religious heart of the country. The city has the highest density of billionaires, is the world’s most populated inland city and boasts six out of Europe’s ten tallest buildings. It continues to be a major tourist destination in Europe growing year on year with famous attractions including Red Square, St Basil’s Cathedral, and the Kremlin.
Day 1
Arrival in Moscow
Welcome to Moscow! Your driver will pick you up from your scheduled arrival point (airport / railway station) before taking you to your hotel where you will check-in for the evening.

Golden Ring
The Golden Ring refers to the chain of Medieval towns to the North and East of Moscow including Suzdal, Yaroslavl, Vladimir, Rostov, Kostroma, and others. The region is one of Russia’s oldest routes and has become a popular tourist hotspot due to its beautiful landscapes, churches, and ornate architecture. The Golden Ring contains several UNESCO designated sites dating between the 12th and 17th centuries.
Day 2
Exploring Vladimir
After breakfast, your driver will meet you outside your hotel and take you to the train station where you will take the bullet train to Vladimir.
On arrival in Vladimir, your guide will meet you at the train station before taking you on a full city tour where you will get to see some of Vladimir’s most popular attractions including the Assumption or Dmitry Cathedrals and the Golden Gates.
You will then stop for lunch in Vladimir before heading over to Suzdal.
Visiting Suzdal
Once you have arrived in Suzdal, you can choose what you would like to see from either the local Kremlin with the Cross Chamber and the Wooden Architecture Museum, or the Spaso-Euthymius Monastery where you get to enjoy a bell-ringing mini concert.
Your driver will take you back to the train station in Vladimir with the option to have an evening meal (not included), before catching the train back to Moscow.
You will arrive in Moscow around 22:00. Your driver will meet you and take you to your hotel.
