Petropavlovsk -Kamchatskiy (Kamchatka)
Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy (or Petropavlovsk) is a city and the cultural and economic centre of Kamchatka Krai, Russia. It is situated high in the hills and surrounded by the UNESCO designated natural wonder, the Volcanoes of Kamchatka, and the beautiful Avacha Bay. The city continues to attract more and more tourists each year that are drawn to the remote region for its breathtaking scenery, unique wildlife, challenging hiking trails and paragliding.
Day 1
Arrival in Kamchatka
Welcome to Kamchatka! Your driver will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel.
On arrival, you will check into your hotel before having a bit of free time to settle in, rest and relax in the hotel hot thermal water swimming pool or explore the city by yourself.

Day 2
Boat trip around Avachinsky Bay
Today you will head out on a spectacular cruise around the beautiful Avachinsky Bay.
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, you will be taken to the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy Sea Port. You will start your cruise along the Avachinsky Bay to the Pacific Ocean and then Starichkov Island. You will have lunch on-board the boat.
The Avachinsky Bay is considered one of the most beautiful in the world. Its twisting coastline is cut by numerous small bays and is home to over 30 species of fish, numerous sea birds and killer whales. Starichkov Island is a nature reserve on water which is home to puffins, loons, cormorants and other waterfowl. Several nests of Steller’s Sea Eagle and a seal harem are situated on the island. While on board, you may catch a glimpse of some of these magnificent animals for yourself!
After your cruise, you will visit the Volkanarium Museum and head up to the viewpoint for panoramic views over the city. You will also head into Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy city centre for some souvenir shopping before enjoying some free time to explore the city or head back to the hotel for some rest in the hot thermal water swimming pool.

Day 3
Trekking between volcanoes along the ‘Camel’ hill
In the morning, you will have breakfast at the hotel before embarking on an all-terrain drive to the foothills of the Avacha volcano.
On arrival at the base camp, you will have a short rest before enjoying a 4-5-hour trek between the Avacha and Koryaksky volcanoes along the ‘Camel’ hill. From the top of the mountain, you can see beautiful views of the Avachinsky Bay and the surroundings of Petropavlovsk and Elizovo, the Avacha river and Nalychevo valley.
After returning to your base camp, you will stop for lunch before being taken to the Pacific Ocean coast, where you will get to enjoy a leisurely stroll along the shore before being taken back to your hotel.

Day 4
Trekking to the Dachniye hot springs
After breakfast, you will set off on a 3-hour journey by all-terrain vehicle for the Mutnovskaya geothermal power station, before beginning your trek to the spectacular Dachniye hot thermal springs.
Along the way, you will stop for a picnic lunch before taking a detour to the Spokoiniy Creek where you will see the breath-taking natural waterfall.
After your trek, you will return to your hotel where you will have some free time to rest and relax in the hot thermal water swimming pool at your hotel.

Day 5
Cultural excursion to a local village
In the morning you will have breakfast at your hotel before embarking on an excursion to a local ethnic centre where you will be introduced to the culture of the native Kamchatka people. Here, you will take a stroll around the dog kennels and learn the history of the dog sledding sport in Kamchatka, listen to the stories about Kamchatka natives, watch traditional dances and learn some of the dance moves for yourself.
After lunch, you will be taken to the “Ozerki” hot springs where you can relax in hot thermal water, before heading back to the hotel.
In the evening, you will have some free time to relax in the hot thermal water swimming pool at your hotel or do some exploring for yourself.
