Riga
Situated at the mouth of the River Daugava in the Baltic Sea, Riga is the capital and largest city in Latvia. The city is cultural centre of Latvia and is known for its museums and concert halls as well as its magnificent art nouveau style architecture which adorns the Old Town; a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Riga was founded in in the early 13th century and was appointed the European Capital of Culture in 2014.

On arrival in Riga your driver will meet you at your scheduled arrival point (airport or railway station) before taking you to the Radisson Blu Latvia Hotel for check-in.

Day 2
Riga City Tour with New year Gala
You will kick off your time in Riga with a morning walking tour of the Old Town.
Your tour will start by exploring the narrow, winding streets to St. Peter`s Church and the Riga Dome Cathedral, leading to Riga Castle, the current office of the President of Latvia. Next, you will arrive at the Town Hall Square and the medieval Blackhead Brotherhood building where you will learn more about the Three Brothers that dwelled there. Your walk will continue to the Swedish Gates in the ancient fortification wall, through to the Church of St. John and the Church of St. George, the very first stone church in the Medieval City of Riga. The tour ends with a chance to taste the famous Riga Black Balsam – a liqueur made of 24 herbs that remains unchanged for 250 years.
In the afternoon, you will have some free time to explore the city or visit the Christmas Market in the Old Town, before heading back to your hotel for a meal at the hotel restaurant.

Day 3
Art Nouveau Riga Walking Tour
Today you will have a free time in the morning to explore the magical city of Riga for yourself. Take in the local culture by visiting some of the city’s museums and galleries or simply stroll around the city and do some last-minute Christmas shopping, the decision is yours.
In the afternoon, you will head out on the Art Nouveau Riga walking tour where you will learn more about the 19th – early 20th century Jugendstil architectural style to which the city is famous. Explore multiple architectural examples throughout the city which is home to one of the biggest collections in Europe.
