Vladivostok
The administrative centre of Primorsky Krai, Vladivostok meaning ‘Rule in the East’ in Russian, is situated in the far east of Russia around Golden Horn Bay. The city is famous for its harbour location as the home port of the Russian Pacific Fleet and being the final stop on the Trans-Siberian Railway. Tourists are attracted to its many military sites left over from the Russo-Japanese War and the beautiful Russky Island.
Day 1
Arrival in Vladivostok
Upon arrival in Vladivostok, you will be greeted by your driver at the airport / train station who will take you to your hotel. Once you have checked-in you will have a bit of free time to explore the city.

Day 2
Exploring mountains in Dragon Stone Park
Today you will explore the scenic Dragon Stone Park in South-East Primorye. After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel in Vladivostok and meet your driver outside before setting off on the journey to Dragon Stone Park.
Enjoy a full day exploring the park’s many attractions with a 12km trek through the mountains with stops at several scenic beauty spots along the way. After your trek, you will be taken to the Petrov Bay camp where you will spend the evening camping under the stars. Dinner is included at your camp.

Petrov Bay
Situated in the Lazovsky Reserve on Primorye’s east coast, Petrov Bay (also known as Petrov Island) is considered one of the most picturesque places in the region. The island is home to subtropical forests, abundant natural flowers and pebbly shorelines where seals can regularly be seen. The island’s most unique feature is its magnificent yew groves which is home to many trees that have been there for centuries.

Hiking across Petrov Island
Start the day with breakfast at your camp, before hopping on a boat to Petrov Island. You will spend the morning hiking around the island’s eco-trail where you will get the chance to take in the natural beauty of the island and stop at the mystical Yew grove on the way.
In the afternoon, you will head over to Petrov Bay where you will get the chance to do a bit of swimming in the sea, snorkelling, or even a spot of sunbathing to give your feet a rest.
In the evening you will head back to your camp for dinner and another night of camping under the stars.

Day 4
Nature walk to the Benevskiy waterfalls
Today you will embark on a spectacular guided nature walk to the Benevskiy Waterfalls. After breakfast, you will meet your guide who will take you to the Ussury taiga forest. Wander into the wilderness, following a secluded eco-trail to the foot of these majestic waterfalls.
After a long day on foot, your driver will pick you up and take you back to your campsite for a final night.

The Lazovsky Reserve
Situated on the south-eastern slopes of the Sikhote-Alin mountain range, next to the Sea of Japan, the Lazovsky Reserve is an important natural area and protected region that is home to some of Russia’s most unique flora and wildlife. The reserve has an abundance of pristine beaches and is commonly considered to be one of the most beautiful locations in Primorye and Russia as a whole. The reserve is 95% forested, with the largest stand of yew trees in the Russian Far East and is home to 60% of the species in the Priomorky region.

Swimming around Ta-Chin-Goza Bay
Enjoy a day of gentle hiking around Ta-Chin-Goza Bay. After breakfast, you will set out on a light 5km hike along the coast before stopping at protected beach for a bit of relaxation. You will get the chance to go swimming, snorkelling and experience a magical sunset on the beach.
After a day of relaxing, your driver will pick you up and take you to the recreation centre located in the heart of Lazovsky Reserve where you will enjoy an evening meal and stay the night.

Day 6
Wildlife spotting at Zarya Lake
Spend the day exploring the wonders of the Central Primorye. For the first part of the day, you will trek to the picturesque Zarya Lake for a chance to see some of Russia’s more elusive wildlife including the Sika deer and traces of the legendary Amur Tiger.
After your trip to the lake, your driver will take you through spectacular landscapes from lush hills and dense forests to steep mountains before reaching Olga village. Here, you will stop for a walk around one of Primorsky Krai’s most impressive capes, the ‘Cape of Four Rocks’. You will end your day with a visit to a beautiful bay decorated with white granite outcrops, where you will get the chance the relax on the beach or go swimming.
After a long day of exploring, you will be taken to a guesthouse in Zerkalnaya Bay where you will spend the evening. Dinner is included.

Zerkalnaya Bay
A serene bay situated in southern Sikhote-Alin, Zerkalnaya Bay is well known for its beautiful shores, white granite stone outcrops, and abundant flora. The Bay is well sheltered and typically has ideal conditions for swimming, surfing and snorkelling. The bay is also close to one of the most impressive capes in Primorsky, the Cape of Four Rocks.
Day 7
Sightseeing in Oak Bay
After breakfast, you will trek along the headlands and beaches of central Primorye where you will experience spectacular views of Oak Bay, and one of the region’s most beautiful abrasions – Rhinoceros Stone Outcrop. You will have plenty of time to rest and reflect surrounded by nature, before continuing your journey by car to Terney village.
The village is located in the center of the Sikhote-Alin Nature Reserve, the largest Reserve in Primorye, and holds the largest concentration of Amur tigers in the world. Here, dinner will be provided, and you will stay overnight at the Terney Guesthouse.

Terney Village
Situated on the coast of the Sea of Japan, Terney is the administrative centre of Terneysky, Primorsky Krai. The bay on which the village is located was discovered in 1787 by Jean-François de La Pérouse on his way from Manila to Avacha Bay along the coast. The Bay was named after the French navigator Admiral Charles d’Arsac de Ternay, and the present Russian settlement, Terney Village, was founded in September 1908.

Following in the footsteps of Vladimir Arsenyev’s expedition
After breakfast, you will set out on a morning boat along the Abrek Peninsula where you will see amazing natural landscapes from ocean-carved rocks and caves to colonies of birds and seals that make this peninsula their home.
In the afternoon, you will continue your journey to the Amur Goral Reserve following the famous Vladimir Arsenyev’s expedition route. Along the route, you will see spectacular views of the shoreline, river valleys and surrounding mountains. You will even get the chance to go swimming or snorkelling! At the end of your trip, you will return to the guesthouse in Terney for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 9
Hiking to the top of Bold Mountain
After breakfast, your driver will take you to the Bold Mountains, a preserved area tucked away in the Sikhote-Alin Nature Reserve. Here, you will embark on a vigorous hike to the top of the mountain ascending from the dense oak forest at the base of the mountains through broadleaf pines, to stone birch forests towards the top. Throughout your ascent you will see traces of the region’s elusive wildlife including the Amur Tiger, as well as get the chance to see boar, red deer and Himalayan bears in their natural habitat.
On reaching the top of the mountain, you will experience panoramic views of the surrounding forest, the Sea of Japan, and sprawling blue mountains. After a long days hiking, your driver will take you back to your guesthouse for dinner and a well-needed rest.

Amgu Canyon
Situated in the northern Primorye region of Russia, Amgu Canyon (also known as Amgu Gorge) is a natural landmark created by the surging Black Shaman Falls, a popular tourist destination in the region. The territory has formed part of several local kingdoms over the centuries, most notably the Balhae kingdom in the 8th century, and traces of them can still be found today. The area is also home to the elusive Blakiston’s Fish Owl.

Trek to the Black Shaman waterfalls
Today you will venture deep into the Sikhote-Alin mountains to visit the Black Shaman Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in the region.
After breakfast, your driver will pick you up and take you near to the waterfall by jeep, before disembarking and continuing on foot. You will descend into a narrow canyon surrounded by steep stone walls while overlooking a picturesque gorge with stone statues, caves and purple cliffs covered by forests. You will have plenty of time to gaze at this majestic waterfall, before spending the night in the guesthouse. Lunch and dinner will be included.

Day 11
Nature Spotting around Huntami Bay
Enjoy a final day exploring the Sikhote-Alin Nature Reserve. You will start your day with a trek to the Huntami Bay with its beautiful stone outcrops, cliffs, rivers and sandy beaches. You will spot plenty of wildlife along the way before stopping at the beach for lunch and a bit of swimming.
On the way back, your driver will take you past the magical Blueberry Lake known for its beautiful aquatic plants, before spending a night at a guesthouse in Terney.

Day 12
Western Primorye
After leaving Terney you will begin the long journey to Vladivostok, stopping to visit several sites including those of the V.K. Arsenyev expeditions. On your journey you will cross Anuchino, one of the first settlements of Russians in Primorye, before heading down the Lee-Fujin River. You will visit the monument of the Dersu-Uzala in Arsenyev and see the Ussuri river — the biggest river in Primorye.
Your driver will transfer you to your guesthouse where you will stay overnight.

Journey to Vladivostok
After breakfast, you will check out of your guesthouse in Terney Village and continue your journey across Western Primorye to Vladivostok.
On arrival in Vladivostok you will have lunch followed by a short sightseeing tour. You will travel to the lookout “Eagle Nest”, offering panoramic views of the Russky Island and Zolotoy Bridges, as well as the Golden Horn Bay.
Your tour will finish at your hotel where you will check-in and spend the evening.

Free Time in Vladivostok
Today, you will have plenty of free time to explore Vladivostok yourself. If you are stuck for things to do, why not check out our range of optional Vladivostok excursions? Option: Trip to a local safari park
Today, you will get the chance to see some of Russia’s wildlife up close and personal. After breakfast, your driver will take you to a safari park off the Vladivostok — Nakhodka highway, near the village of Shkotovo.
Created by Dmitry Mezentsev, a famous biologist and wildlife photographer, the safari park was constructed as a haven for wildlife and an education centre for visitors. The Park cares for wounded and sick animals before releasing recovering animals back into the wild. Animals are free to roam in segregated areas, and visitors will get a rare chance to see leopards, tigers and bird’s native to the area.
After your visit to the safari park, you will head back to Vladivostok where you will have some free time to do some last-minute exploring or go for an evening meal before spending a final night in your hotel.

After breakfast, you will check-out of your hotel before meeting your driver who will take you to your scheduled departure point (airport / train station) where your tour will end.
