Khabarovsk
A large city situated on the Amur River in South-eastern Russia, Khabarovsk is the largest city and the administrative center of Khabarovsk Krai. It lies just 14 miles from the border with China and was named “Boli” when it was part of the Chinese Empire. The city has a rich history and culture and is best known for the dazzling Cathedral of the Assumption and the popular Komsomolskaya Square.
Day 1
Arrival in Khabarovsk
After meeting your driver at the airport, you will be taken to your hotel ready for check-in.
You will have some free time in Khabarovsk to spend as you see fit before starting your glamping adventure and exploring the Far East of Russia.

Day 2
Visiting the Nanai camp
After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and begin your glamping experience!
You will spend your first day with the locals, and visit “Sorodichi” Nanai camp in the village of Sikachi-Alyan. Soak up the local culture with a range of craft and cooking master classes, folk games and a traditional Nanai purification rite before heading to an ancient site where you will see Petroglyphs carved into ancient stone.
After 2 ½ -3 hour drive, you will arrive at Anyuysky National park , an oasis in the middle of impenetrable taiga. Here you will be introduced to your luxury glamping tent where you can enjoy panoramic views of the frozen Anyuy river.

Anyuysky National Park
The Anyuysky National Park is a natural landmark and protected area that covers the Anyuy River basin, on the west slope of the Central Sikhote-Alin Mountain range in the Russian Far East. The Anyuy River flows into the Amur River, the main river of the region, and continues to the Sea of Okhotsk. This remote area is known for its natural beauty and rare wildlife, however it is also home to the Nanai people who occupy around a quarter of the settlements around the territory.
Day 3
Snowmobile ride in Anyuysky National Park
Today you will have plenty of time to spend exploring the taiga. In the morning, you will set off on your very own snowmobile to a real ice fishing location in the heart of the taiga. Along the way, you will experience scenic views of the winter forest and hills of one of the most unspoilt places in the Far East.
In the evening, you will enjoy a hearty dinner from our chef and have time to relax in a wood-fired sauna.

Day 4
Tracking the Amur tiger
Day three of your experience will begin with breakfast followed by an introductory conversation about the elusive Amur tiger and other inhabitants of the national Park. Today you will get to try your hand at being a true wildlife photographer arranging your very own camera traps for review in a few days’ time.
On the way back, you will go grayling fishing and learn how to make the national dish “peeled obdir” and fresh “Thymallus”. A raw dish dipped in a mixture of salt and pepper or soy sauce.
In the evening, you will head back to your campsite and enjoy dinner and gatherings around the evening campfire.

Day 5
Trekking to the mysterious rocks of Nadge
After breakfast, you will set off on a journey to the mysterious rocks of Nadge, a place of local legend and said to be the long-lost home of winged guardians. You will travel part of the way by car, before heading out on a three-hour trekking tour in the taiga.
After returning from your trek, you will enjoy a variety of traditional Far Eastern delicacies for dinner, followed by some relaxation time in the sauna.

Day 6
Snowmobile ride through the Far Eastern taiga
Today you will embark on another snowmobile ride through the Far Eastern taiga. The route will pass through key sites found on the expedition of Vladimir Arsenyev and his Nanai guide, Dersu Uzal. Learn more about Arsenyev through stories from your guide as you make your way along this scenic trail.
On the way back, you will get the chance to check the camera traps you laid a few days ago, and after a delicious evening meal, you will be able to view the pictures to see if your lesson on the Amur Tiger paid off. Your evening will end with a bit of free time, where you can relax in the sauna or gather around a warming campfire.

Day 7
Visit a sturgeon farm on the banks of the Amur river
After breakfast, you will say goodbye to your campsite and head back to Khabarovsk by bus. Along the way, you will visit a sturgeon farm on the banks of the Amur river, where you will see with your own eyes how sturgeon is grown from a small fry before being released into the river.
Upon arrival in the city, you will be taken to your chosen hotel.

Special notes
Please note that this tour requires a minimum number of passengers in order to go ahead. For winter, we recommend packing specialised insulated clothing such as moisture-proof socks, several sets of gloves, a balaclava, tube scarfs, and footwear suitable for low temperatures between -20 to -40 degrees. The temperature in the tent itself will be around 25 degrees.
