Beijing
The capital of China, Beijing, has a long history stretching back over 3000 years. The city is known for its unrivalled culture and architecture and is home to no less than 7 UNESCO World Heritage Sites including the world-famous Forbidden City complex and the Badaling Great Wall of China. Beijing is one of the ‘Four Great Ancient Capitals of China’ and has been the political centre of the country for 800 years.
Day 1
Arrival in Beijing
Welcome to Beijing! Your driver will meet you at your arrival point and take you to your hotel ready for check-in.
You will have the rest of the day to explore the city for yourself or relax in your hotel.

Day 2
Sightseeing tour of Beijing
Today, you will head on a spectacular 4-5 hour tour of the Temple of Heaven in the heart of Beijing.
After breakfast, you will meet your guide who will take you to the Temple of Heaven. Your tour will take you through some of the temple’s most popular sites including the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest, the Imperial Vault of Heaven, the Circular Mound Altar and the Cypress Grove. Lunch will be provided along the way, and after the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel where you will have the rest of the day free to explore the city for yourself.

Trans-Mongolian
A variant of the traditional Trans-Siberian Railway, the Trans-Mongolian is one of the best ways to reach and explore Mongolia and passes between Moscow and Beijing visiting the Mongolian capital of Ulaanbaatar on the way. The train journey itself offers diverse, spectacular views from the alpine forest regions of Siberia to the vast, arid Gobi Desert before skipping through the lush landscapes of China.
Day 3
Depart Beijing
Today you will leave Beijing behind and embark on the spectacular Trans-Mongolian train route.
In the morning, you will check out of your hotel and meet your driver for your early morning transfer to the railway station. Our guide will advise, and assist, in purchasing provisions for the train if desired, accompany you to the train station, and answer any last-minute questions. You will then leave Beijing station for Ulaanbaatar.

Ulaanbaatar
The capital of Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar, was founded in the 17th century as a Buddhist monastic centre and is the country’s largest city. It is situated in the Tuul River valley, bordering the Bogd Khan Uul National Park and close to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park. The city has a rich heritage and is home to many famous tourist attractions including the Gandantegchinlen Monastery, Zaisan Memorial, Choijin Lama Temple, and the Winter Palace of Bogd Khaan.
Day 4
Arrival in Ulaanbaatar and visiting Gorkhi Terelj National Park
After your arrival in Ulaanbaatar, you will be free to visit the world famous Gorkhi Terelj National Park. Lunch will be served at a local Ger camp, followed by walking in the hills, with an excursion to Turtle Rock and a meditation centre, before returning to the Ger camp for an evening meal and overnight stay.

Day 5
Sightseeing around Ulaanbaatar
After breakfast, you will walk around the surrounding area and visit a local herdsman’s family where you will learn more about the daily life of Mongolia’s nomads.
You will stop for lunch at the ger camp, then your driver will take you to the famous Genghis Khan Statue Complex that includes a museum and scenic views from the top of the statue.
After your visit, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Ulaanbaatar where you will spend the evening.

Continuing on the Trans-Mongolian Railway
After having most of the day free to explore Ulaanbaatar, our professional driver will pick you up from the hotel lobby and take you via private transfer to the railway station.
Here, you will catch the train to continue your journey along the Trans-Mongolian railway.

Day 7
Depart Ulaanbaatar
You will spend the next four days travelling on the Trans-Mongolian railway venturing into Siberia.
You will journey through the seemingly limitless tracks and incredible forests of Siberia, passing through the mighty Altai region and crossing the River Yenisei at Krasnoyarsk.
After passing through Novosibirsk, the largest city in Siberia, the train will head for Yekaterinburg and the Ural Mountains, crossing the border between Asia and Europe. After entering European Russia, you will head past the ex-military city of Perm, the great industrial city of Kirov, and the beautiful cities of the Golden Ring onto Moscow.

Russia’s official capital, Moscow, is the political and religious heart of the country. The city has the highest density of billionaires, is the world’s most populated inland city and boasts six out of Europe’s ten tallest buildings. It continues to be a major tourist destination in Europe growing year on year with famous attractions including Red Square, St Basil’s Cathedral, and the Kremlin.

Arrival in Moscow
Today, you will reach your destination, the Russian Capital of Moscow, where your transfer will be waiting to pick you up and take you to your hotel if you wish to spend a few more days in Moscow, or to the railway station or airport.
